How exciting is it to see the Masters once again!! As usual the course looks magnificent and as difficult as ever!!
No doubt the "Masters effect" will get you all fired up to play and practice over the coming days, so we look forward to seeing lots of you soon .
I did warn you last week that we were confident that new clubs & new swings would feature on the April Medal results list, and sure enough it did ! It was fantastic to see some great results by many, and they were all well deserved .
Many congratulations to Andy Vis as he has been working hard on his swing with me over the winter, and his new irons are starting to pay for themselves already!!

The range continues to be in constant demand, and as such, we would gratefully accept any golf balls you have stored away that are surplus to requirements! It is staggering how many we go through, although this will hopefully reduce as the field dries out and everyone starts hitting balls straighter after lessons and custom fits!
Until further notice, the range will be closed at the following times for ball collection, Monday till 9.30am Thursday till 9.30 am Friday 3-4pm Sat 3-4pm

The next time you miss a makeable putt, give yourself a break. Boffins tell us that on an 8ft putt, your blade has only to be one degree open or shut at impact for the ball to miss the hole.
Putter makers realise this, of course, and our shop selection employs the latest aim-enhancing designs and cosmetics. Some like to see down-the-line assistance; others find squaring-up markings more useful. Today's ranges cater for both. If you've never considered which suits your eye, we'd urge you to. Better still, come and talk to us about it. It could save you a lot of lip-out pain.
Also, consider how well you strike the putt. A heel strike closes the blade; a toe strike opens it. The putter's length plays a role here. A good length allows a set-up that promotes a solid, centred strike. The best way to ensure you get this right is to pay us a visit. We'll be delighted to help.
