TJ wins £120 000

Pros news

Well it was actually a £120 000 car to use for last weekend but a great prize regardless!

TJ was lucky enough to have his business card pulled out in the draw by Mercedes after the recent Golf Show, and as you could imagine he had great fun using the car. Despite the wet weather he still managed to get the roof down, although I think he was testing the theory that if you drive over 50mph in a convertible you don't get wet in the rain!

Well it's hard to believe that this is the final newsletter of the year. As always it has been an absolute pleasure for us in the ProShop to work here and look after all your golfing requirements. This year has been an extra special one with it being the 125th year for our great club and our Captains Ralph and Hilary have done a superb job this year and continued the run of great Captains we have had.

This year has also been a fantastic year for our club as we continue with the great work going on by everyone involved at the club which has resulted in our club being in the minority of clubs nationally boasting full membership categories. Further development on both the course and the range has been greatly received, and with further projects planned it's very exciting indeed!

Rest assured that we are committed to keep the great momentum going from the Pro Shop also with some exciting plans for next year. This includes some changes in the Pro shop itself along with coaching initiatives, whilst at the same time continuing to build on the fantastic success of projects like the Ladies Academy.

Here are some reminders of what a great year we have had:

Course news

I have often heard the saying that the course will close itself, but last Saturday proved this is not always the case!

The course was indeed open and there were a few early golfers, but as the forecast predicted the weather would be dreadful by mid morning, by lunchtime there was no one playing and it was absolutely miserable. But that did not stop Jason Carlton and Pete Renton from having a game and indeed, the course to themselves!

And finally

Many, many thanks to you all for your continued support throughout the year on behalf of all of us in the Pro shop. It has been great to share in the success of our club and we are really looking forward to next year working with you all.

Have a great Christmas and New Year and all the very Best Wishes for 2016

Mark, TJ Steve
