Happy New Year to everyone!
What a wet and miserable start it has been to the New Year. Let's hope the rain clouds will be empty for a few days soon. Despite the course looking incredibly likely to be closed over the weekend there is some good news...

The brightest thing to be seen at York Golf Club over the past few days....
This week David Horner paid us a visit and was delighted to pick up his brand new personalised FootJoy MyJoy's which should be fairly easy to spot out on the course!
If you want to have your own go at creating something as flambouyant, why not drop in and have a chat!
It's all a bit damp....
No doubt you will have seen plenty of pictures of how the course looked after the flooding, but with the almost daily rainfall there is just no respite.
Water is being pumped off the course constantly and our Greenstaff are working tirelessly to get the course open as soon as possible.
Don't forget that the range is open so don't let your clubs get dusty!
Work has begun on the kitchen extension and yet again there has been tremendous support from members contributing towards the work being carried out, with John "Fit it" Fielding leading the way.
Many thanks again guys
We are looking forward to seeing many of you at the weekend.
