On Saturday it will be the first competition for 11 weeks, so we are looking forward to seeing many of you!!
With the numerous closures and significant lack of footfall we have lots (and I mean lots) of items on sale, so whilst it's important to arrive early enough to loosen up on the range, please make sure you arrive early enough to have a good look at our many bargains.
The SALE offers we have cover every aspect of your golfing needs. Here is just a taster of what we have available:
Whilst the high winds over the past few days has made playing both more challenging and physical, it has done the course a huge favour and helped to "dry" it out somewhat. The Greenstaff have started to put sand in the "new" bunkers and though they looked good already, they look great now with the new sand in!
Even though some members have played out of one or two already, can we remind you that they are not yet in play and still ground under repair (shows how keen some are?).
Both TaylorMade and PING have dominated the club market with well over 50% share between them and they have both got very exciting launches this week with what will be the hottest products this year. As fitting partners for both we received the G and M2 irons this week and have already had people try them and discover 7-19 yards further compared to their own 7 iron!
Next week we are receiving the woods and hybrids which means we will have the full line available for everyone to try - very exciting!

Ralph and I played our latest match on Sunday against Vice Captain
Ian Clark and "Vice-Vice Captain"
David Dodds. This was the first game we played using the 90% handicap allowance recently introduced, and despite me trying to convince Ian that 90% of 16 was 12, I didn't get away with it!
Standing on the 10th tee 4 down, Ralph and I were worried that we could get our biggest pasting so far, but a gallant back 9 comeback ensued and we stood on the 18th tee 1 down. After nearly slam dunking my second shot to finish 4' past the hole fingers were crossed about scraping a half, but David made a super put from 25' for a 4 nett 3 to seal the game.
Many thanks again Gentlemen for your great company and a great game
