The glorious few days of weather has brought everyone out to the course, and what a past week it's been. Last Saturday's competition had nearly 160 competitors, and it confirmed just how bad the winter had been when we were saying "Happy New Year" to some during the day.

It was absolutely fantastic to see so many enthusiastic members, and what was also great was seeing so many smiling faces as everyone came off the course too. A combination of just enjoying their game, playing well or being impressed with all the super work that's been going on over the past few weeks?

Well I did warn you in previous newsletters that if you have not been using our services for club fittings or lessons you will be reading about people who have and....

Well done to Jason Carlton, Alan Walmsley, Jack Robinson and George Berg who had the top 4 scores. A combination of either lessons or new clubs for all.

I would like to say a big thank you to the members who kindly came along to help "dig" out the 000's of plugged range balls last Friday. This was an enormous help to us and in preparation for what we knew would be a busy weekend on the range. 

Sadly or gladly (due to being so busy), after the weekend many of them were back hiding again!


 

My goodness it's been busy in the shop this week with deliveries and shop displays. Our Under Armour area has taken more stock and we are eagerly anticipating their new shows any day now too.

In particular I am loving the almost lifesize Jordan Spieth graphic that's just been installed! 'Dress like the best' with us here in your pro shop!

We will soon be holding our Ladies Get into Golf taster sessions. Having had great success over the last two years with our Academy ladies going on to join the ladies section, we are keen to keep this great momentum going.

To do this we have some dates coming up next month where we are looking for any ladies who have had a little go in the past or have never had a go. 

All equipment will be provided
