What a glorious few days of weather 

It's typical that we have had quite a few deliveries of Autumn/Winter apparel this week just as we have a heatwave, but no I'm not moaning - the weather has been fantastic...


 

It has been an absolute pleasure being out and about this week. 

Whilst there has been some work carried out for the months ahead (more on this later) the course is still fantastic and it is wonderful seeing the great Autumnal colours coming through too. 

This is stunning and with the heather programme being part of the Course Development Plan we will see many more beautiful sights like this over the coming years.

Our Greenstaff have been busy this week tining and over seeding the greens. 

This is essential work but unfortunately work that can never be done at a time convenient to everyone. 

Rest assured they will quickly "recover".


 

Next Friday we are staging our inaugural Professionals Day. Many thanks to those of you taking part on what we are sure will be a great day. With over £2000 worth of prizes, buffet meal before or after your game and 3 golf balls for every competitor, we are confident that those taking part will have a great day.

Very well done to Sarah Anderson on wining the Lady Grant Lawson by beating Joy Hunter in the final. Also well done to Jackie Hateley winning the Stableford on Tuesday with 38 points after a back count back with Pauline Beal

Also many congratulations to Mike Crawshaw who stormed to victory with his 74-64 to win the Rundle Cup on Saturday. Never mind me using Mike for marketing this result with new irons, TaylorMade may be considering using Mike along with Dustin Johnson in their adds..
