Hello golfers,
It has been fantastic to so see many members making the most of the daylight before the clocks change this weekend. We have also received lots of praise from visitors this week about the course, the work in progress and how fantastic the greens are too.
Let's hope the weather will be kinder over the coming months than it was last year..
Lessons and fitting have continued to be in high demand with members who are keen to either build on success or create some. Once more, TJ and I have taken great pride over the season as we worked out 90% of competition winners have used our services for fittings, lessons or both-a very well done to you all.

Many thanks to everyone who took part in our recent customer survey. We will soon be compiling the feedback which will help us to decide on stock lines for the coming year. If you would like to contact us with any other requests or comments, please click here.
Rory McIlroy proved the importance of change whilst trying different clubs this week…including the TaylorMade M2 driver which he carried 330 yards. Safe to say our neighbours would have been worried if he was on our range.
On the subject of the range, the grass tee area is now closed for winter work. Thank you to our "Range Man" Alan Barrass who has done some work on the area helping it to recover and be ready for next year.
Now this area is closed, range balls can be used from either covered bays or the all-weather tee. Please do not use any range balls beyond the all-weather tee, everyone's co-operation in this is greatly appreciated.
Thank you to those who have donated golf balls for the range, this is an enormous help to replenish the quantity of golf balls lost throughout the year.
The mention of our new winter trousers last week that we have in stock by Under Armour and Dwyers certainly caught peoples' attention meaning even more members are enjoying these amazing trousers.

As autumnal temperatures approach us, it is important to have the correct clothing in order to enjoy your game at this time. Make sure you call in to see these practical trousers, and check out the great selection of clothing from Ashworth, adidas, Under Armour and our new addition, Galvin Green whilst you are there.
Click here to visit our website to find out more about these ranges.
In addition to wearing appropriate clothing it is also just as important to check your studs on your shoes. Many of you have been wearing spikeless shoes this year and it is advisable to check how much tread is left on them. With morning dew and damp conditions becoming the norm, it is essential to have a grip, not just to help you play better but to help avoid any slips.
We will gladly replace any studs while you wait with FREE fitting.
The latest Ladies event was a Four Lady Team event on Tuesday. Taking advantage of the half term holiday this week Emma Audsley was able to play and her partners would have been most grateful as they won after a back nine count back. Well done Emma, Pauline Beal, Val Barrass and mum Liz.
Also well done to the runners up; Marion Bray, Carolyn Francis, Elaine Hulley and Pat Clark - Great to see some early results after the coaching trip to Portugal.
