March has finally arrived but let's hope the forecast for the next few days is wrong!
There is such a 'buzz' around the club at the moment and it's growing all the time with so much happening.
With the sand now in the 'new' bunkers the work that has been done looks superb and it's fantastic how the CDP is progressing.
The clubhouse work is nearing completion and judging by comments and member's curiosity I reckon Andy and Stevie along with John & Neil are going to be kept busy over the weeks ahead!
As for members enthusiasm about their games……..wow!
Main catalysts for this enthusiasm are lessons, using the range, changing clubs or even new grips and of course just wanting to use are ever improving course and range facilities.
Yours truly keen also!

Congratulations to Tony Knowles he matched his age this week by shooting 75 gross.
Fantastic achievement Tony although I couldn't believe you are 75!
On Sunday, we had our latest Ladies Academy session which was out on the course. It was absolutely fantastic to see the Ladies do so well and thoroughly enjoy themselves. In the last year, we have had six Ladies go on to become full Lady Members which is wonderful.
As we enter the spring we are once again looking to introduce more Ladies into golf. We have some taster sessions on the following dates which are open to any lady regardless of whether they have had a go at golf in the past. All equipment will be provided:
- Saturday, 11 March - 11am to 12pm
- Saturday, 18 March - 11am to 12pm
- Tuesday, 21 March - 3pm to 4pm

Ian and I played our latest Capt/Pro match on Tuesday morning against
Mike Wells and
Will Robinson.
We had a fantastic game but unfortunately have to report that we suffered our first defeat after a great scoring game, where hitting it inside putter length on 3 x Par 3's still wasn't good enough!
Thanks again guys for a great game.
As mentioned last week we will be staging our Professional Day on
Friday, 28 April. Last year was our inaugural event and we are proud to say it was one of the events of the year. The format will once again be an AMAM with teams being open to both Men and Ladies so teams can be all male , mixed or all ladies. There will be over
£2500 worth of prizes. Included in the entry fee each competitor will also receive 3 golf balls and a choice of either Stroganoff or Lasagne after their game.
Entry is now open for members or members bringing guests you can enter by clicking here. This year we will even have a prize for the best team name.
Many thanks to the members who have kindly donated golf balls for the range. In addition to losing balls hit 'out of bounds' lots of balls are lost due to the ground conditions out there. We strive to keep the range open and great value for money and these donations help enormously.
The deliveries keep coming!
There has been two very exciting launches this week with the TaylorMade M1 irons along with the TP5 ball. This ball has had the most amazing run on Tour since players started using it just ahead of its launch. Jon Rahm, Sergio Garcia and Dustin Johnson all winning using it and the usage on both main Tours is growing all the time.
