Can you believe it's less than 2 weeks until the Masters? With the form Dustin Johnson is in it looks like everyone is playing for second place!
This week has included a trip to Catalunya (ranked no.1 course in Spain) to play in the TaylorMade Amassador Cup.
I am immensely proud to be one of 50 Ambassadors across Europe and the list includes Professionals from Turnberry, Gleneagles, Wentworth, Doonbeg, Quinta Da Lago to name a few!
This event is played annually with the Ambassadors in playing in two teams - The Managing Directors team and the UK Director of Sales team.
The hospitality was amazing and it felt like the Ryder Cup. We even had Ivor Robson announcing all the games on the first tee!
After last year's defeat playing in the MD's team we were keen to win this year. Our match consisted of me playing with James Taylor from Germany against Mike Yarnold also from Germany who partnered the resident Professional Enrique Lopez.
We had a fantastic game and the course was simply superb with greens that were like putting on a coffee table.
There was a real buzz around the course with all the scoring being sent live to everyone in their buggies as well as the Captains and TaylorMade staff who were dashing between games.
After being 2 down at the turn we turned the game around to be 1 up with 2 to play but then all square going up the last, a very long uphill par 4. Faced with a 15' downhill left to right put to win the match I managed to stroke it home for a valuable win.
The match itself was a close affair but unfortunately 2 late games were won on the last by the opposition which resulted in our team losing by 1 point.
It was a truly great experience and I would wholeheartedly recommend a visit to the Catalunya course and hotel!

On Wednesday we had our first team practice sessions which were very well attended. With several teams in the leagues we have further sessions planned too.

The range is far from dry and please bear in mind there will be further closures to retrieve future plugged balls as now the grass is growing it is imperative we retrieve them as quick as possible.
