What a great Open Championship!

Many congratulations to Rory on a thoroughly deserved win!

One of our "Majors" also took place over the weekend - The Annual Handicap. There were some fantastic performances over the 2 days by many competitors. In the end the superb winning score of 134 was produced by Andy Crookham. Very very well done Andy!

In addition to regularly practising, Andy has also benefitted from being recently custom fit for his TaylorMade woods and irons, and it was wonderful to see this result so soon!!

Tomorrow sees the Royal Signals competition which every year is in aid of Help For Heroes, the entry fee therefore changes slightly to £4 entry (of which £2 goes to the charity) + £1 for the 2's.

TaylorMade Demo Day a Success - Again

We have had a few Demo Days this year and last Friday saw another one from TaylorMade, which was a great success and once again the product on trial showed its ability with plenty of people seeing improvements from the new technology. FootJoy have now come up with their own 'Demo Day' and tomorrow (Saturday 26th) is our turn to have them here, there is one of their expert shoe fitters coming to our clubhouse tomorrow with every style, size, and width that FootJoy do in their range. He will measure you up and get a shoe that perfectly fits your foot, so no more rubbing heels or sore feet!
