Ware Cup Qualifier
There was a great turnout for the Ware Cup Qualifier on Saturday with some super scoring.
As usual TJ and I were eagerly seeing how new techniques and new equipment faired and once again we were very pleased to see some great results!! Congratulations to all qualifiers.
Yet again there was further testimony as to how good are greens are with lots of two's scored!

We are delighted to report on a couple of very successful outings for one of our very promising young juniors.
Playing in the Vicars Cross Junior Open in windy & tough conditions, Emma Audsley scored a nett 79 to win the Girls Best Net. Soon after Emma played in the Caldy Junior Open where she had her first experience of links golf and also learnt what strong wind really is like!!! Despite this Emma produced an awesome nett 67 to comfortably win the best nett.
Very, very well done Emma!!!

Choose a club that makes all the right noises
Apparently, there are cracker companies who research the snap their crackers make when broken in half. Car makers research the most luxurious door-closing 'thunk'.
As for golf equipment, sound is even more important. Club engineers believe some 90% of our perception of feel is down to impact sound. Consequently, the biggest companies now use sophisticated computer programs to 'design' the acoustics of the clubheads you'll find in our shop, in a similar way to how they engineer performance.
Don't be too quick to dismiss the sound a club makes. It's hard to gain confidence with a muffled driver, or a clicky putter. A pleasing sound is of course a subjective thing, so the best way to find that good tone is to test a variety. Whether you need a booming driver or a buttery wedge, we have a great range of options - one of which will be sure to play the right tune for you. Click here to tell us what you are looking for.
