Format

The event is an AmAm and is open to both Men and Ladies. Teams can be any combination of Men and Ladies or all Men /all Ladies. Members and non-members

Stableford scoring. 90% allowance
White & Red tees
Tee times 8am till 3.45pm
Numerous prizes including prizes on every par 3 and a putting competition
Prize presentation 8.15pm

Every competitor will receive

3 Golf Balls
Meal either before or after their game. Choice of Lasagna or Stroganoff
Numerous team prizes available including all Ladies team prize
Cost is £25 per person /£100 team

Get into Golf Session – Sat 4th May

Just a reminder we have our latest Ladies Get into Golf session this coming Saturday from 11.30-12.30

These sessions are ideal for anyone who has little or no experience of golf and are interested in having a go. All the equipment is provided and there is Free to attend.

Range news

Ball Collection

As you would expect with such a great facility the range is becoming increasingly busier.

In the interests of safety we do need to close the range for ball collecting along with general maintenance too. Below is a list of scheduled closures for ball collecting over forthcoming days.

Friday 3rd May - closed till 9.30am
Sat 4th May - 4-5pm
Sun 5th May - 2-3pm
Mon 6th May - 4-5.30pm
Weds 8th May - 4.15-5.45pm
Thurs 9th May - 1.30-3pm (Par 3 course closed all pm)
Sat 11th May - 3-4pm
Sun 12th May 4-5pm
Weds 15th May - 4-5.15pm
Thurs 16th May - 3-4.30pm
Sat 18th May - 4-5pm

During these times it will still be possible to use the practice ground whilst ball collecting is taking place.

Here’s a question for you…

What do a 42-year-old Texan and a 24-year-old Spaniard have in common?

The answer is they paired up to win the Zurich Classic of New Orleans last weekend - the PGA Tour's only team event.

Ryan Palmer and Jon Rahm stormed to a three-shot victory at TPC Louisiana in the Crescent State, scooping just over $1 million each in the process. Once the duo had found the top of the leaderboard after the second hole on Sunday, they never relinquished the lead on their way to a comfortable three-shot victory.

Palmer admitted he was surprised when Rahm accepted his offer to pair up, but both will no doubt be glad he did after Palmer claimed his fourth PGA Tour win and Rahm his third.

Molinari highlights slow play

Once again, the debate on slow play reared its ugly head over the weekend. Edoardo Molinari tweeted a list of timings after playing a five-and-a-half-hour round at the European Tour’s Trophee Hassan II event, making it clear he wasn't happy.

Northern Irishman Graeme McDowell was quick to dismiss Molinari’s clear frustration, saying he is ‘flogging a dead horse’, claiming players can’t get around any quicker. But what do you think?

Should the pros be leading by example in the hope that play quickens up at club level? Or should Molinari stop worrying about everyone else and focus on his own game?

From green to tee
