Its not just Crocuses and Daffodils coming out, its more and more golfers!! These last few days have seen no end of activity on the course and on the range. Its a good job the clocks go back soon to give even more opportunity to play as everyone is so keen! It's really great to see...

We have continued our battle with cardboard boxes this week, and all 3 of us are like children working in a sweet shop as we unpack new products. No prizes for guessing who is the biggest kid!
Clubs, balls, shoes, bags, clothing, in fact you name it and we have had some delivered this week. With our new layout in the Pro Shop, be sure to allow time to have a "browse" next time you visit and see all the new fantastic products launched this year.

Capt/Pro matches On Friday I had the pleasure of playing a Lady Captain/Pro match with Heather against Sue Lally and Linda Moore. We had a great game with lots of laughs along the way, but just like any Capt/Pro match everyone tries like crazy to win!! The pressure was also on because TJ had won all his matches with Heather . Thankfully we managed to keep the 100% record. Many thanks once again Ladies for a most enjoyable time.
On Friday night Paul held his Captains dinner which was a great evening . Paul gave a great speech before the guest speaker who had us all laughing for well over an hour! Well done Paul.
On Sunday we are holding our first Ladies "Get into Golf" day of 2014 . These are great fun events to encourage more ladies to take up this wonderful game. All the guys have been incredibly busy on the course and their continued hard work is really paying off. Over the next few days the greens will be tined and dressed, which is essential work and something that can never be done at a time to please everyone!
It is incredible to see how the thatch builds up in the top 1-2" of the green. The tining really breaks this down and removes some to be replaced with the dressing. Short term disruption for long term gain.
