Welcome to this week's newsletter. I hope you are managing to stay safe and healthy in what is an incredibly challenging time. We are continuing to monitor the COVID-19 situation and both the pro shop and club will act in accordance to Government advice. At our golf club, members are being encouraged to carry on playing golf with the all the golf club team striving to provide the game in the safest possible environment. We also recognise that the health and wellbeing of playing this great game benefits all age groups. The range and practice facilities will remain open and members can bring guests with the pro shop OPEN to deal with bookings, golfing essentials and purchase transactions. It is essential where possible that members keep golfing, support the pro shop and the club to ensure the survival of our outstanding facilities. - The pro shop will retain current shop opening hours.
- Members are requested to keep a 2m distance whilst in the shop and follow the traffic flow arrows around the shop. We are also the amount of customers in the shop at any one time to three.
- Buggy and trolley hire remains available when allowed with a clean taking place between rentals.
- Credit card transactions would be preferred rather than cash.
- Coaching services continue as usual.
- The range will remain open as this is a great environment to practice in safety and get great exercise too. Please check the club website for updates on times the range will be closed for ball collection.
- Our coaching and fitting facilities will remain open for bookings as will the availability for club fitting (edit as appropriate).
All members have access to the York Golf Club booking system too as the club policy is to continue with club competitions. As government information is liable to change we are monitoring the situation and will react when required. Golf clubs remain (with care) as close to a ‘safe haven’ as exists, away from this exceptionally tough set of circumstances. Please read the club and Pro shop daily updates before entering the Pro shop. Keep calm wash your hands and keep playing golf... |
