It happens every year. You think Christmas is a long way away, and then bam ..............its next week!! Don't panic though. The good news is that we still have everything available and in store to make your Christmas shopping as easy as possible!
It's hard to believe this is the last newsletter of the year! They say time flies when you're having fun and maybe that's why this year has gone so quick?
I would like to start by saying a huge thank you to everyone for your continued support this year. As you will no doubt sense TJ, Wilks and I all thoroughly enjoy our work but what is a huge contributing factor to that enjoyment is our place of work! It really is a pleasure to work here at such a great club with so many nice people along with a great course and facilities.
2014 has been a great year at York Golf Club. With membership up, green fees up, course condition the best for years, it's no wonder it was such a good year. As a club we are also now looking forward to our 125th Anniversary year in 2015 with exciting projects like the course development plan, clubhouse refurbishment proposals and continued range developments. These will all ensure the tremendous momentum at York Golf Club continues and the club keeps going from strength to strength.
Christmas is a great time to start getting your 2015 plans in order. If you start by promising yourself to make 2015 your best golf year, I'm sure Santa (or you Pro shop team) can find what's needed to help you get going.
We have often said "Give the gift of a better game" as a present. Lesson vouchers are ideal. Either a stocking filler of one lesson or a package of lessons are ideal. Click here to view some great offers
Of course your golf can improve without touching your technique. I have often said during lessons that in order to be a better player, a lot of golfers need to think and act like better players also. There are various ways this statement can apply:
Is your equipment well maintained and up to date?
Was your equipment fitted?
Do you use a measuring device?
Do you actually know how far your clubs go?
Do you become tired during a round?
I could go on but I think you get the point. Here are ideas to help:
GPS watches - SkyCaddie and TomTom in stock a FREE fitting to find out how new fitted clubs could help
Motocaddy electric trolleys - best deals and display in the area!
Arrange a Gapping Session to find out how well your clubs work and if improvements could be made
Stocked up for all weathers - rain gloves, winter mitts, winter gloves etc.
Asides from your game there's always items because it's Christmas! We have loads of equipment to choose from and the 125th Anniversary merchandise is still top of the pops with the various gift boxes going down really well!
