Practise whilst you can! It is hard to believe that the clocks change this weekend and it is great to see a busy course and range with members making the most of the reducing daylight hours. Those of you who have used the range this week will have noticed the work that has taken place. Whilst this looks unsightly now it is hoped that the mole drainage work carried out will help with the drainage over the months ahead. The range is a fantastic asset and facility we have here at York and appreciated by many. Typically, over the next six months most balls will plug upon landing and must be hoed out and picked up by hand. As you can appreciate this is not ideal so all of us in the Proshop are hoping the drainage work will result in less balls being lost and less closures on the range for long periods of ball collecting! |
