Last day of play

Whether you have been avidly practicing your putting, decorating, keeping fit or planting bulbs in the garden I hope you have been keeping well during the first week of ‘Lock-down 2’

This picture taken last Wednesday will remind those lucky enough to have played how wonderful the day was. For those who did not play it will serve as a reminder that we all share the fact, we are members of a great golf course and a great club.

Let's hope that in 3 weeks time we will all be playing again but whenever golf starts our wonderful course will be ready for us and we thank Michael and Joe for looking after everything during the current lock-down.

The Masters

We all know this has been a strange year and watching the Masters this week does seem strange but there is no doubt that it will be fantastic viewing.

As there are no ‘patrons’ this year it will give us all the chance to see more of the course and I am sure it will quite different to how we normally see it.

Masters week is upon us

It’s a Masters unlike any other, and yet the same unique excitement has been hanging in the air for weeks now. In fact, with everything going on in the world, this four-day reprieve feels more special than ever.

All bets are off. Or, at least, they should be. Nobody in this field has played a Masters in November, so who knows what could happen? But, if there’s one thing to get you excited for this week, it’s what happened last time out and Tiger's incredible 15th Major victory.

Will we see another remarkable storyline etched into golf's history? Could Rory finally complete his career Grand Slam? Or maybe Bryson's new-found game plan will conquer Augusta National? Whatever happens over the next few days, enjoy the viewing!

Hitting your irons close

Hopefully, you’ll be watching The Masters on TV this week as there will no doubt be plenty of great golf on display. If ever there was a course that put a premium on finding the greens, it’s Augusta National.
