Spring is in the air and York Golf Club certainly has a spring in its step!
It's been another great week with plenty of activity both on the course and on the range. In addition to golfers being busy, our Greenstaff and course helpers have also been "hard at it " with preparations for the season ahead.
The work on the 9th is nearing completion and with the new sand arriving next week for the new bunkers it's getting ever nearer the exciting prospect of experiencing the "changes".
With so much traffic going to the range the path there has also had some repair work done to it! Our new range signs have also just been delivered and they will soon be installed ready for you to take aim and fire. Many thanks to those who have donated used balls for the range lately as this really helps us to keep the costs down to a minimum to provide this service.
Have you had your FREE grip yet?
Last week we announced our superb offer of a FREE re-grip on your 7 iron, and it has been great to see so many people take advantage of this offer. If you have not called in the Pro shop yet to take advantage of this offer make sure you do this weekend as we are running out of grips!

A poor workman blames his tools......
We all know this saying but the tools we use do make quite a difference! Why not book a FREE fitting to discover how using more modern and custom fit clubs can help you play better golf? With the season fast approaching, now is the time to get your game in shape to make this a great year for your golf.
In a typical session we measure the performance of your clubs and record data using our GC2 launch monitor which we then use to decide which alternative clubs and specifications could work better for you.
"It's not the club it's me" - again another saying often used but don't always believe it!

Our first demo day is coming soon when TaylorMade will be here on Saturday, 7 March from 10-3pm. This is a great opportunity to come and try their incredibly popular clubs

Captain's Dinner
Next Friday is the annual Captain's dinner which is always a fantastic evening. This year's guest speaker is David Kendall and having seen/heard him before I know those attending will really enjoy. There are a handful of tickets available so contact the office if you would like to come along.
