Cheal Trophy

With the Bank Holiday it's been action packed these last few days. After Alan Walmsley and Nick Beard scored 39 points on Saturday in the Cheal Trophy. It looked like a play-off was required, but young Tom Johnson stole the show late on with a very credible 40 points given some of the testing flag positions! 

Well done Tom.

Also congratulations to Alan Hunter who scored a hole in one on the 17th. Even better is the fact it's his third one! 


Centenary Cup

A play off is certainly required for the Centenary Cup which was played on Monday. Well done Dave Varley, Simon Dwyer and Terry Nicholson who all scored 40 points. 

Also well done to Christine Barber who won the Ladies Centenary Cup with 37 points. 

On Tuesday the Ladies were Waltzing for their comp and congratulations to Sonia Simpson, Ronnie Davison and Pauline Beal who won with 70 points after a back 9 count back, with Maureen Turnbull, Marie Fairclough and Lilias Picken coming in second place.

What a talented pair Nick and Emma are, and their successes are well deserved and well done again to both
