We regularly talk about the importance of being prepared before playing your game of golf. This usually means arriving in plenty of time and making full use of our great practice facilities before you tee off. This time of year though, your choice of clothing is arguably very important too! But before I discuss my recomendations for you here is some Members News. 


 

Alan's 90th Birthday

The Queen may be the longest serving monarch but our very own Alan McTeer has just celebrated his 90th birthday! Very, very many happy returns Alan. Both Alan and Jean enjoyed a super meal in the clubhouse last Sunday with family and friends and were full of praise about the meal and service.

Autumn and Winter Clothing for All Eventualities

With temperatures varying so much there are many options to cover all eventualities. You will hopefully not be surprised to hear we have all options covered here at your ProShop.

An "Autumnal" feeling day 

We have just received the fantastic Autumn ranges from Under Armour and ProQuip. Technology is often talked about in golf equipment such as clubs and balls but seldom in clothing. All that has changed with the great products from these suppliers. Clothing that is so light and comfortable to wear yet totally protecting you from the elements sometimes we just have to play in horrid. 

Men's waterproof jackets and trousers, ladies waterproof jacket and trousers, men's windstoppers, men's knitwear plus accessories like bucket hats!

Blooming horrible and pouring down! 

Unfortunately we cannot control the weather and have to play on lousy days! The good news is that with all the super work on drainage over the past 3/4 years you will be playing on a course rarely closed from bad weather so you need good clothing!! I won't push my luck and say that playing in the rain and wearing the latest range from Pro-Quip and Under Armour will be an absolute pleasure but I'm sure you will find it more comfortable.
