It means a great deal to us all in the Pro Shop to win the award of Foremost Professional of the Year, but please rest assured that there is no intention (or time!) to rest on our laurels over the coming months ahead.

2015 has been a great year at York GC with the course being in great order and such an active membership wanting to play it as often as possible. With the great work going on at the moment, next year and subsequent ones look very exciting indeed for all of us here.

As you can see from the pictures, the second phase of the Course Development Plan is well and truly under way. After the work was done on the 18th a few days ago there were lots of positive comments regarding the changes and exactly the same has happened regarding the changes that have been done on the 3rd. What a transformation!

Very well done to Sarah Anderson on winning the Ladies Paterson Trophy on Sunday. With Sarah working hard on her game this year, many of us knew it was only a matter of time till I would be saying congratulations!

  

As for the Men's Mid-Week Medal on Wednesday ...........what a score young Stevie Hood produced. A superb gross 69 in testing conditions which saw the CSS go up to 72. Absolutely awesome score Stevie...............................are the drinks on you??


A great run comes to an end

Congratulations to Val Barrass and Judith Twist who had a fantastic run in the EYLWGA knockout . 

Having made it to the semi final by winning 2 up, they went right to the last hole in the final and were unfortunately beaten by a team from Malton.

Very very well done you two!



 

Capt/Pro Challenge dates
